Job Description

Your new role 

Our billing analysts are program specific; they focus on maximising the cash collections and ensure the accuracy of the billing to our client. The position is pivotal to finance team, working with internal stakeholders to collate inputs for fixed price, volume based and time and material invoices.

You will accounting professional that is keen to learn and grow within the Project Finance team – this is not your traditional financial control, the positon supports to high value program, and the focus is project finance only. The team around you is relatively new, enthusiastic and keen to ensure they not only add value, and have strong stakeholder relationships, however have fun doing it!

The ideal candidate has enthusiasm, wiliness to learn and a can do attitude if this sounds like you – this is the position to start your career within finance.

Strong, time management skills are necessary as is the ability to communicate at all levels and influence positive outcomes is also a must.

Specific Functions

  • Creation of accurate and timely journal adjustments with the Revenue Accountant
  • Set up effective business rhythms to drive Program teams to provide all of the required inputs, information and approvals on a timely basis to meet the billing calendar.
  • Identify potential improvements to financial processes and information systems to facilitate decision making, analysis and the achievement of positive outcomes.
  • Liaise with the Leadership Team and Project Managers to discuss finance issues and to support activity in invoicing and collections.
  • Review systems for internal controls and make recommendations as required for improvements.
  • Participate in the review of the financial system and make recommendations for changes to the system.
  • Perform analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers to general ledger as required.
  • Assist the External Auditor with annual audits as required and then ensure follow through with audit recommendations and reports.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be able to obtain a security clearance to the Baseline level.
