About your new role

We have an awesome opportunity for an exceptional Network Architect to join us on a permanent basis! This role will be responsible to design and plan the In-Data Centre network communications systems for a large scale Platform-as-a-Service offering, the role is also key in ensuring that the run state of the Network meets the desired customer and business outcomes. Working to the Leidos CTO Architecture team reporting directly to the Chief Architect on the Defence Account, you will provide the specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. You will also provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network hardware and software interconnection / interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. 
  • Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. 
  • We are looking for an architect who is still willing to get their hands dirty and must be sufficiently versed in Cisco and Palo Alto platforms to undertake limited configuration and/or R&D work from time to time.
  • Can lead deep technical network discussions with other architects, customers, support teams and vendor partners

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current NV2 clearance (or NV1 with the ability to recieve NV2)
  • Releveant IT degree and network certifications

About you and what you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience within Network Architecture 
  • Experience with Arista, Cisco and Palo Alto platforms
  • Experience with leaf and spine and Software defined networking experience with NSX-T
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience in large scale deployments
  • 3+ years of network architecture experience
