Job Description

Your new role
An average week for a Graduate Cyber Intel Analyst could include a wide range of activities, including:
  • Assisting with maintaining the integrity and security of cyber systems and networks
  • Providing analysis and review support for cyber security initiatives, such as supporting internal HR/Legal/Ethics investigations, threat data from various sources, and network traffic analysis (e.g. through using raw packet data, net flow and custom sensor output regarding the security of communications networks)
  • Using your communication skills to articulate emerging trends to staff and leaders, and liaise with other organisations, such as law enforcement agencies, intelligence community organisations and other government agencies such as the Department of Defence
  • Applying tools and techniques for activities such as dead system analysis and attack reconstruction,
  • Using your understanding of attack signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with advanced threats to inform your work
  • Identifying links between security events from various sources (e.g. Security Information Management System data), and develop correlation techniques
  • Collaborating on the development of analytical products (e.g. through combining enterprise and all-source intelligence)
  • Contributing to malware analysis of attacker tools
Graduates will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge specific to this role, to ensure they are able to contribute and reach their highest potential.

Qualifications

About you and what you’ll bring
This role is ideal for someone who is completing or has recently completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, such as:
  • Bachelor Information Technology
  • Bachelor Computer Science
  • Cyber Security
