Your new role

Working in a large IT environment for one of our key Government clients, your role of ITSC Manager will own the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) process and ensure that IT systems can be recovered within the agreed time frames. As an Engineer, you will understand the technologies that have or need to be implemented to ensure that these recovery time frames can be met. You will work closely with the availability manager to ensure risks are identified and minimised

You will demonstrate a pro-active and highly motivated approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. Being organised bring you great success in this role. You would have worked in similar role Service Continuity / Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity as a lead or manager. 

Solid working knowledge relating to major IT platforms and infrastructure, including networks, storage, mainframe and distributed environments, backup and restore technologies, VMware SRM, Database replication and recovery, cloud technologies. Strong technical skills in networking, storage, compute, backup and recovery of systems. Technical skill set is important – we need you to be able to speak and understand the language when speaking with your technical counterparts.

Qualifications

Relevant certifications or Professional membership would be desirable – ITIL, Prince2, BCI or DRII membership.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV-1 or NV-2 security clearance required.
