Job Description
You'll form part of a highly skilled team performing 3rd level application and system support for the Defence environment, as part of the Centralised Processing (CP) program. Working in a large and complex environment, your role will be to manage Citrix solutions and support project work across a broad spectrum of technologies including Exchange, SharePoint & Active Directory.
Specifically you will perform a variety of activities which involve standard procedures for Citrix Systems requiring familiarity and expertise with a broad field of Systems Engineering and knowledge, which may include:
- IT Support for Citrix platforms and advice on projects
- Operates as third level support for Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop farms and related-services
- Act as root cause driver to identify and remediate platform configuration issues or bugs
- Serve as operational 2nd/3rd level of escalation for Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and related technologies
- Responsible for pro-active problem solving of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop farm issues capacity problems, tune Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environment to achieve optimal performance and availability
- Produce XenApp/XenDesktop health check processes and methods required to reduce and eliminate XenApp/XenDesktop issues effecting end users
- Lead resolution of specific issues and internal projects associated with assigned responsibilities for Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop platform and technologies
- Assist with delivery of project deliverables of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop platform
infrastructure implementations - Act as a delegate for Citrix SME where required
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to other Systems Administrators

- Proficient experience within the relevant technologies and domains
Professional experience in Systems Engineering using formal engineering methods - Professional Experience of the System Lifecycle using standard methodologies and techniques/tools
Demonstrated ability to consistently produce excellent results in a complex environment
Proficient Experience with administering complex Citrix environments. - Proficient Experience with administering a network infrastructure.
Professional Experience in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new Citrix based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems). - Professional Experience in developing, configuring and maintaining document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
- Professional experience in configuring and monitoring Citrix services, applications, farms, service applications and web applications.
- Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current NV-2 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
