Therefore, Legend Seeds has committed to secure an experienced, energetic, and motivated Warehouse Operator to join our growing sales team to develop, maintain and grow relationships with our dealers. This individual’s superior relationship building skills and key sales techniques will be an asset to Legend Seeds in our drive for continue SUCCESS!

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This position works directly with the Warehouse Manager and Distribution Manager to ensure that the warehouse runs safely and efficiently, and bagging and distribution plans are executed. This position will have a Legend mindset of is it good for Legend, my team and myself when making all decisions and communication to this role.  This position will promote the three pillars of Legend GROWTH, PROFITABILITY, and CULTURE.

What will your day be like?

·        Work with the Warehouse Manager on setting goals and expectations for all areas of responsibility.

·        Bag, tag and label product as directed on the work order

·        Follow Legend Operating Procedures

·        Work with the Quality Control Manager and staff to make sure seed samples are drawn and tested

·        Assist in inventory counts and inventory reconciliation

·        Use, promote, and monitor appropriate employee safety procedures

·        Work with Distribution Team on delivery of products as needed

·        Maintain warehouses, equipment, and grounds

·        Assist in the receiving and delivery of all products including picking loads, labeling placards and delivery papers, loading/unloading trucks, and filling orders for on-site customer pickup

·        Other duties as assigned to help Legend and your team reach their goals

Best Candidate will have:

·        Valid Driver’s License

·        Prefer CDL (Commercial Driver License with valid health card) or ability to obtain in 6 months

·        Private Pesticide Applicators License or ability to obtain

·        Forklift experience

·        Attention to detail and customer serviced focused

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and basic computer functions

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely an active, standing role and lifting is required. This would require bending and ability to lift to 60 pounds as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional earlier start times, evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

5-10% travel is expected for this position
