Job Description

We’re looking for a Grant Compliance Officer to support the effective management of our strategic grant programmes with the Greater London Authority, Homes England and other relevant funding bodies. You’ll help ensure affordable housing projects are accurately documented and delivered in line with public funding agreements, regulatory standards and internal requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively across Development, Delivery, Sales and Finance, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality affordable housing. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and experiences who can bring strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to the role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Grant Compliance Manager in recording and delivering affordable housing schemes in line with funding agreements and regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with Development and Delivery Managers to ensure grant-funded schemes are recorded accurately in the IMS and OPS systems
  • Completing milestone claims accurately and promptly in accordance with grant funding requirements
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date management and financial information across relevant schedules and systems
  • Monitoring and recording development expenditure for grant-funded schemes in preparation for the QDE
  • Improving existing processes to reflect regulatory changes and updates to the Capital Funding Guide
  • Collaborating with Development, Delivery, Sales and Finance colleagues to support compliance with affordable housing regulations
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders

Who we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of social housing and the wider residential sector
  • Understanding of social housing development, housing management and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Experience of working with IMS and OPS systems
  • Effective project management and risk management skills
  • Experience in contract management and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the confidence to embrace change and new opportunities
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders

Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance -related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
  • Generous pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
  • Competitive family leave
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
  • There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
  • We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience
