Job Description

We’re recruiting for am Investment Operations Associate to join our APAC Investment Management Operations team. Responsible for providing independent oversight of outsourced service providers supporting the valuation of two core European investment vehicles: an Irish-domiciled ETF umbrella and ICAV umbrella. The successful candidate will monitor valuation activities, identify and investigate anomalies, and provide assurance that the Third-Party Administrator is accurately calculating fund valuations for publication to exchanges and investors.

A strong understanding of ETF and fund valuation processes is essential, given the strategic importance of these products.

In addition, the role oversees key Middle Office functions across the APAC region, including trade lifecycle management, cash management, and reconciliation activities, ensuring robust operational controls and the timely mitigation of settlement risk.

Acting as a trusted partner to the Asia Trading Desk, Fund Management teams, and strategic clients, the role-holder will deliver high-quality, solutions-focused support. The position plays a critical role in maintaining client confidence, strengthening the operating model, and supporting the continued growth and success of the Asia business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting oversight of ETF and ICAV fund valuations, reviewing NAV calculations, providing timely sign-off or challenge to third-party administrators, and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, mitigate risk, and improve operational efficiency
  • Partnering with Fund Management to investigating and resolving valuation queries across ETFs and pooled funds, supporting the accurate and timely publication of NAVs
  • Reviewing post-trade transaction cost analysis against expected costs, collaborating with ETF Capital Markets and Distribution teams to understand fund flows, trading activity, and associated expenses
  • Supporting the launch of new ETFs and listed share classes, coordinating operational readiness activities and embedding changes to operating models and processes
  • Leading oversight of outsourced service providers across start-of-day, intraday, and end-of-day trade lifecycle activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, robust controls, and effective support for Trading and Fund Management teams
  • Monitoring APAC market activity, identifying settlement risks, operational exceptions, cash impacts, and trade mismatches, and driving timely resolution to minimise risk exposure
  • Managing subscription and redemption processing, supporting efficient funding, trading execution, client servicing, and overall operational effectiveness
  • Investigating reconciliation breaks, overdrafts, and custody-related issues while acting as a key contact for Asia client servicing, managing stakeholder queries, providing analysis, and escalating issues where required

Who we’re looking for:

  • Investment Operations experience with strong knowledge of fund valuations, including NAV production and/or valuation oversight, and the ability to independently analyse, challenge, and resolve valuation queries
  • Applying strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, settlement, custody, and post-trade operations across EMEA and APAC markets
  • Overseeing outsourced and third-party service providers, monitoring service delivery, controls, and SLA performance to ensure high-quality operational outcomes
  • Managing reconciliations and operational exceptions across cash, stock, and NAVs, identifying root causes and driving timely resolution of breaks
  • Operating effectively within multi-currency environments, leveraging knowledge of global custodians and matching platforms such as State Street and CTM
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and service providers, communicating effectively across multiple levels and functions within a global organisation
  • Applying a robust risk and control mindset, demonstrating ownership, attention to detail, sound operational judgement, and disciplined escalation of issues where required
  • Driving proactive problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives while working successfully in a fast-paced global environment, with strong written and verbal English skills; Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese being advantageous

Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
