Job Description
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join us in Cardiff, on a 6 month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you’ll help turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight that supports informed business decisions and improves commercial performance. You’ll be a trusted expert in data visualisation, making data more accessible across the business while continuously improving how we work through automation and best practice.
What you'll be doing:
- Creating clear and engaging data visualisations that support informed decision making
- Understanding data systems and structures and linking source data to value‑adding analysis
- Developing and improving efficient, automated reporting and analytics processes
- Delivering ad hoc analysis and visualisations using data manipulation and visualisation tools
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and provide impactful insights
- Maintaining and automating regular business reporting to agreed timelines
- Championing data visualisation best practice and sharing knowledge with colleagues
- Engaging in testing and stakeholder discussions to understand the impact of data and system changes
Who we're looking for:
- Experience analysing and working with large datasets with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to build dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience manipulating and transforming data using tools or languages such as SQL
- A degree in a numerate or technical subject or equivalent practical experience
- Confidence gathering requirements and working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly and accessibly
- An improvement‑focused mindset with an interest in automation and efficient ways of working
