Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Affordable Housing Aftercare Manager to join us to cover the Midlands and North England region. We’re offering a competitive base salary and good benefits package.
In this role you will be required to travel to sites across the Midlands and North England. It is likely you will be on site visits for 3 days of the week.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with the delivery team, Employers Agents, Defects Suppliers, and colleagues to ensure timely rectification of defects and smooth transition of new homes to customers
- Proactively responding to aftercare queries and updating systems to ensure issues are correctly recorded and managed
- Overseeing the activities of relevant Defect Suppliers and contractors to ensure closure of defects within agreed service level agreements
- Supporting the Head of Aftercare in managing and reviewing agreed KPIs, tracking actions to ensure closure
- Raising purchase orders for verified deployment of external contractors and recording associated costs
- Leading on authorisation of works and the invoicing process, including re-charge/retention, and managing expenditure and budgets
- Attending End of Defect or Post Practical Completion inspections and building relationships with developers’ aftercare teams
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Strong academic background with a construction/maintenance qualification
- Part or full CIH professional qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in a similar repairs/maintenance or customer-facing role within the housing/construction industry
- Good technical knowledge of construction, maintenance, and repair of houses and apartments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in handling challenging situations
