Job Description
The ETF Investment Assistant is a great opportunity to gain some valuable experience in a front office investment role. The purpose of this role is offer support to the team and ensuring a smooth running of the team's function.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting the PM team with any kind of fund specific issues and queries. Helping the PM team investigate issues that could impact the fund’s trading or tracking.
- Assisting with ETF PCF issues, liaising between BNY, Ultumus and APs where required.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to thoroughly investigate all facets of portfolio management. Serve as a liaison between portfolio managers, various LGIM internal oversight functions, and State Street to address inquiries.
- Becoming a subject matter expert of how the funds operate in order to assist investigation on breaches, errors or other issues.
- Supporting the calculation, oversight, and approval of fund transaction costs, primary market costs, and other trade-related costs affecting clients or the fund.
- Assisting in the reconciliation of swap costs and ensure they get rebated to swap counterparties.
- Providing ad hoc support to Sales and answer specific client queries with regards to the funds (eg. fund turnover, RFP’s liquidity, tracking etc.).
- Assisting the Capital Markets team in maintaining monthly and quarterly reports. Assist in analysing ETF trading data to generate comprehensive reports on market trends, trading volume, and liquidity.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Educated to degree level
- High attention to detail
- Very strong Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Seek innovative solutions to problems as they arise, implementing new processes and system developments
- Understanding of back and middle office functions helpful
- Previous experience within an asset manager in operations, front or back office.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Python preferred
