Job Description

The time has now come for a brand-new role which has been created here at Legal & General Affordable Homes for a Data Operations Manager. We have a significant volume of complex data sources and have embarked on a journey to transform that way we (and the sector) manage data. To help us do this, we need a passionate, experienced Data Manager to drive and deliver key components of our data strategy and BAU activity.

You will have a strong understanding of data integrity, quality and operations. You will also enjoy the challenge of working in a high-performing team with varied work and projects which collaborates with lots of people who have different areas of expertise. Within our Data Team we design, build and operationalise our data strategy. The Data Team has three constituent workstreams: Data Operations; Data Governance & Protection; and Data Science. This role manages Data Operations.

Qualifications

As part of your new role there will be several elements and responsibilities to which include the following.

  • Strong experience in data quality and controls and be able to demonstrate how to shape data controls, data structures, quality metrics, and basic statistics and data visualisation.
  • It is essential that you have experience with a major CRM technology solution – ideally salesforce
  • Ideally you will have blended experience of operations (perhaps with operational risk) and some exposure to data governance, and good working knowledge of data structures, marts, business intelligence, data quality and governance capabilities
  • Understanding of data management technologies (data catalogue, data quality management), enterprise and Cloud technologies – an advantage
  • Familiar with core business functions and associated data roles and responsibilities (owner, steward, custodian, consumer) to help steer compliance with data quality and control requirements.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening), inter-personal and influencing skills, with the ability to bridge SMEs and business through user-friendly language.
  • A passion and curiosity to build innovative solutions to organisational problems through use of benchmarking, networking and sharing of creative ideas and sound data across boundaries
