Position Title: Business Intelligence Analyst 

Overview of Position

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our organization to design, develop, and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations. This individual will have prior experience building reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar business analytics software. The qualified applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and feel comfortable and confident communicating directly to management.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help management derive insights and make timely business decisions
• Participate in Business Requirements and Functional Requirements meetings, identify gaps in requirements and drive discussion around appropriate solutions
• Write queries, stored procedures, and automate SQL queries
• Work with Power BI or similar tools
• Occasionally work with Vendors to troubleshoot technical issues
• Create Technical Design Specification documentation that clearly articulates the design and code being implemented
• Collaborate with different teams and find creative solutions to difficult problems
• Produce Data Extracts and update Crystal reports if needed

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

What are the critical skills needed to perform this position?

• Proven track record successfully designing and implementing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar BI tools
• Proficiency in SQL is must. (Microsoft SQL Database)
• Ability to read an interpret data schemas and data models
• Capability to lead or contribute to a fast-paced agile delivery team
• Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work independently to implement a solution with minimal guidance.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Experience working with ERP software such SAGE 500 or similar
• Hands on experience with updating and troubleshooting with Crystal Reports
• Familiarity with data management and data quality processes and requirements
• Past experience working on or supporting enterprise-wide data projects and initiatives
• Understanding of Data warehousing and Data Modeling
• Strong knowledge of and experience with ETL including reporting packages and databases using SQL (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS)
• Creating ETL Data Pipelines
• Data Migration Experience
• Vendor relationship is plus
• Experience working with network vendors to support the resolution of open tickets
