Educational Therapist / Learning Specialist
At Learning Tree Coach we strive to help students build confidence and foundational skills through multi-sensory techniques and curriculums. We teach students strategies, provide ongoing support and remediation, while building their self esteem and advocacy skills. Our goal is for both students and families to feel heard and understood, while crafting a plan to best address their needs.
We serve students of all age ranges, with an array of learning differences. We are a growing practice and are looking to find motivated, collaborative individuals who are willing to learn from one another. If you are looking to work in a supportive environment where you can make an impact for both students and families, then this is the place for you. *Please note that we serve students in Walnut Creek and surrounding areas, as well as virtual sessions.
As a certified Educational Therapist, your role is to provide ongoing support, strategies, and remediation to students in our practice. You will manage a unique caseload with a high level of autonomy and flexibility. You will coordinate with classroom teachers, allied professionals, and parents to increase academic and social/emotional growth, and long lasting benefits for students who often feel marginalized. An ideal candidate can communicate effectively, and help families feel comfortable through empathy and understanding.
This is a part-time position in which students are served after school, ranging between 2 pm and 7 pm. To provide the best student experience, students are taught in person in our Walnut Creek office, which requires candidates to live in the East Bay. Our ideal candidate is a certified educational therapist, but we are open to the right candidate. If you are a teacher, learning specialist, or student educational therapist, looking to earn extra income in the afternoons and weekends, we would love to meet you!
