Hotel Operations Manager

Job Description

Our client is looking for an Operations Manager for their busy 4-star property in Essex which is part of a group and has 100+ bedrooms. Our client is looking for someone to take control, accountability and ownership for the operational leadership of the hotel.

The Operations Managers will be hands on, ideally from a quality 4-star background and be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with a friendly and effective approach. A key area of responsibility will be ensuring the consistent delivery of high standards of service and as such a key area of responsibility will be ensuring staff are trained to the correct level and support is given to the managers and supervisors to ensure that service standards remain the same when the successful candidate is off.


The Role

In this role you’re a real organiser, who loves leading and motivating your team. You will be driving the business and setting the property apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink.

You will know the 4-star market and how to manage the detail through your department managers and team will be second nature and leading from the front to set the example is something you are no stranger to.

Ideally you will have had previous experience in managing large teams and you will have a sound knowledge of food and drink in a similar sized property.


Experience and Skills required

·Proven 4-star management experience.

·Strong F&B and Rooms experience

·Excellent knowledge of AA standards

·Keen commercial acumen and track record of success with budgets, P&L statements, capital expenditures and forecasting management

·Strong skill in driving results

·Strong in people management and development
