Job Description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Inbound Associate will join the Cycling Avenue team, responsible for receiving new and used cycling equipment as well as listing it onto our website. They will receive and validate incoming shipments in order to prepare the bikes to be verified by the bike workshop mechanics. The associate will also enter characteristics of incoming product to list them on the Cycling Avenue website. They will leverage their knowledge of bikes and cycling equipment to validate make, model, and year of product and detail all other relevant characteristics. The candidate will deliver on accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the warehouse operations, while adhering to safety standards and regulations. The candidate will foster a positive work environment that embraces Laps brand values and achieves key company objectives. 

Responsibilities 

  • Receive cycling product and equipment into the warehouse 

  • Flag any invoice or manifest discrepancies to Buying Team 

  • Assemble and prepare bikes to be inspected by mechanics 

  • Input and validate all data related to product, research information online as required 

  • List product to be sold on the website  

  • Perform inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy 

  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse

Qualifications

Your Profile

A bicycle enthusiast who's professional, easy to work with and loves to multitask.

With:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of bike specifications (road, mountain, and e-bike) 

  • 1+ years of experience in bike shop or job related to the cycling industry 

  • Ability to perform manual and physical work such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time when required 

  • Ability to read & write with excellent communication 

  • Ability to work well within a team and a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong computer skills
