Job Description

A Strategist’s role is to manage the full lifecycle of a project, setting the strategy, guiding a team in implementation, and aligning with the client on objectives and success. This role would span social media and content marketing. Planning, execution, delegation and performance analysis will all be aspects of the job. As our agency grows, we see overlap between the social and content marketing realms, and are eager to find a candidate who excels at the crossroads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities for the Strategist include:

  • Campaign Management – Creative thinking matched with strategic smarts to develop and lead campaigns across owned and shared platforms. Ability to optimize along the way through actionable insights and clear communication with peers and client contacts.

  • Client  Guidance – The Strategist will work directly with prospects and clients, which requires interactive and technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires the ability to celebrate wins and right-size challenges.

  • Creation That Drives Engagement – The ability to plan and write content for a variety of social platforms in a way that triggers positive engagement for our clients. Video production skills are not necessary, but a mind that can articulate visual concepts is a plus.

  • Channel Selection & Recommendations – Ability to innovate on existing channels and strategize new approaches that connect with evolving audiences. Keeps a pulse on trending mediums, tactics and messaging.

  • What-If, Can-Do Attitude – You won’t settle for a hard no. When life (scopes of work) puts you in a corner, you find a way to apply fresh thinking and agility that saves the day.

  • Restless Curiosity – Classic works for a reason, but there’s always room for exploration. You’re not afraid to fail, and learn no matter what. When it comes to work, you are inspired by what industry leaders are trying, and can’t wait to give it a whirl. You self-learn and are eager to share with those around you.

  • Composure – Agencies are not for the faint of heart. This role demands a disciplined, mature leader who sets the emotional tone and professionalism for their team. You’re unfazed by client presentations, tight deadlines and detours. You get the job done.
