Job Description
We are currently seeking a Damage Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will inspect damaged product and determine whether to make minor repairs or dispose of the items. The position also requires determining the final disposition of the product, preparing it to be returned back to stock, disposed of or sent to Blue Dot. Applicants should be highly organized and thorough and have excellent attention-to-detail skills. The ideal candidate also possesses the ability to perform minor repairs as needed.
Please note that this position is open to internal candidates only. External candidates who apply will not be considered for this role.
A day on the job looks like this:
- Inspecting items for damage to the product or packaging
- Inspecting items to ensure they have not been compromised for safety, appearance or function
- Determining final disposition of the product, preparing it to be returned back to stock, sent to Blue Dot or disposed of. Task includes reboxing, applying new shrink-wrap, taping, assembling furniture, etc.
- Price-ticking items for Blue Dot shipments
Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED recommended
- Ability to triage for performance or damage based on Lakeshore expectations
- Must be trained and/or willing to be trained on HighJump
- A flexible, dependable multitasker willing and ready to perform any job necessary
- Highly organized, thorough and excellent attention-to-detail required
- Ability to perform minor repairs as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong time-management skills
- Maintains good attendance
