Job Description

We are seeking a Distribution Housekeeping Supervisor, Mid Shift for our Garland, Utah distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping team. Responsibilities include staffing, training, developing a team-based work environment, ensuring safe working conditions and maintaining housekeeping supplies. Reporting to our Facilities Senior Manager, you also will ensure that excellent service is always provided to our internal customers. 

A day at the warehouse looks like this:  

  • Assigning janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspecting their work to ensure that established standards are met  
  • Creating and implementing standards for the team   
  • Ordering and maintaining needed supplies across all distribution buildings   
  • Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed  
  • Taking inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment, plus informing management when supplies are depleted  
  • Providing training and guidance to janitorial staff  
  • Developing employee performance by appraising, coaching and counseling   
  • Understanding the goals for the day and providing motivation to ensure they are met accurately and efficiently, while also encouraging teamwork and obtaining a high level of associate morale and recognition   
  • Working with the leadership team to effectively communicate achievements and challenges throughout the day   
  • Ensuring the organization and physical appearance of the Distribution Center are in good standing order  

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Knowledge of or experience with industrial cleaning chemicals and applications 
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience    
  • Ability to build a high-performance/engaged work environment    
  • Results-oriented high achiever who strives for maximum service levels    
  • Ability to problem-solve while keeping the needs of the internal customer and company in mind    
  • Ability to lead a crew while supporting rules, regulations and standards    
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team    
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously    
  • Outstanding time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for the most efficient use of time    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
