At Kids & Company Child Development Center, we’ve created a program that puts those objectives front and center. We have an outstanding curriculum, the full participation of our parents and a great staff—the only thing missing is you! The Kids & Company Director (Infant to Preschool) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the infant, toddler and preschool programs. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children, managing teachers and maintaining compliance with all state licensing regulations. You’ll lead and be part of a wonderful team. For over 35 years, Kids & Company has been a cornerstone for our employees’ children, offering a full-day program that goes beyond the ordinary. A day on the job looks like this:
- Program Management & Strategy: Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote physical, emotional, social and cognitive development. Be the primary decision maker in all things related to Kids & Company
- Teacher Management: Recruit, train, manage and support teachers. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities
- Parent Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, meetings and events. Address any concerns or questions promptly and professionally
- Compliance: Ensure the program meets all licensing requirements and adheres to health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Budget Management: Oversee the program’s budget, including managing expenses and resources efficiently
- Community Engagement: Represent the school in the community and build partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field (master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least four years in a leadership role
- Current Pediatric First Aid & CPR certified with anaphylaxis and asthma training preferred
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of child development, creative classroom environments and best practices, with a good understanding of the California Preschool Learning Foundations & California Infant/Toddler Curriculum Framework
- Offer tailored teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and accommodate children with disabilities
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Open form of communication that’s adaptable to children, parents and staff, building positive and trusting relationships
- Nurturing, compassionate and enthusiastic demeanor
- Flexibility to provide care for children at all levels as needed
- Able to promote parent engagement and center events to build a strong center community

- Salary: $70,500 - $95,500 with an annual bonus of up to 15%
