Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking an Outbound Shipping Lead (2nd Shift) to join our team. In this hourly role, you will maintain the department’s productivity standards and keep your supervisor apprised of activities and needs within the team. The position also requires answering Lakeshore associates’ basic operational questions. The ideal applicant has two years of experience in a similar field.
The 2nd Shift Outbound Shipping Lead is an hourly position that is expected to spend 80% of their time in a productive function. The 2nd Shift Outbound Shipping Lead is expected and required to maintain their functional department’s productivity standards while acting in the role of a Lead. The remaining 20% of their time will be spent in the role of a Lead and carry out the activities listed below.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Managing the Shipping department’s productivity standards
- Reporting productivity to supervisor
- Reassigning basic work assignments for team
- Assisting with the training of new team members
- Providing verbal updates to associates pertaining to their productivity performance for the day
Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Great communication skills
- Sharp problem-solving skills
- Self-starter
