Job Description
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Associate, Level 1 to help support daily operations, ensure timely building maintenance and assist in resolving operations issues as they arise. In this role, you will perform day-to-day repairs as well as schedule and ensure the completion of preventative upkeep. The position also requires tracking assigned facilities requests and addressing them within established timelines. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and has a strong work ethic to go along with a sharp eye for details.
This position is on-site at our Carson, CA, headquarters.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Performing day-to-day building maintenance and repairs, including disposal of waste and recycling and assembly of office furniture
- Ensuring assigned facilities requests are addressed according to Lakeshore’s quality standards
- Helping maintain a safe and effective working environment
- Delivering world-class service to our partners and guests
- Coordinating work to be completed by vendors as requested
- Running local errands, retrieving post office mail, and collecting invoices
- Serving as backup support to the groundskeeper including but not limited to:
- Ensuring grounds, walkways, and outdoor areas are free of debris
- Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas
- Performing routine landscaping tasks such as trimming and blowing to uphold standards
- Coordinating with vendors to execute landscaping projects efficiently
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience required
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC units a plus
- Must have valid driver’s license (copy of driving record required)
- Ability to work weekends and be on call 24/7
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with Outlook
- Skilled in operating a bobtail vehicle and a forklift
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
