Job Description

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Director of Sales Training and Enablement to join our team. In this new leadership role, you will lead a team that has been created to assess business learning and skill gaps, design learning journeys and build out enablement programs that focus on product knowledge, leadership development, onboarding, selling skills and operational excellence. The position will be responsible for developing and driving strategies that enable our Sales teams to achieve their revenue targets, improve sales efficiency and enhance customer acquisition. Applicants should possess a strong business acumen and have proven success across business units, companies and industries. The ideal candidate has the ability to design, build and steward a comprehensive vision and strategy aligned to business objectives. 

A day in the office looks like this: 

  • Learn the business and its needs, consult key players and influencers, and seek partners for input and prioritization 
  • Lead strategic and operational planning, in partnership with Sales leaders, to achieve business goals by fostering innovation and prioritizing digital learning through multiple formats and modalities 
  • Drive continuous process improvement and drive recommendations and enhancements to support and promote selling strategies 
  • Work closely with Sales leaders and Inside Sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements required to ensure sales organization success 
  • Oversee the delivery of field training to Sales, Sales Management, and Sales Support teams 
  • Provide strategic direction and solutions that help support our long‐term performance management strategy, including developing KPIs in partnership with the RVP/RDs and Sales leaders 
  • Prioritize competing initiatives and cascade based on dependencies and impact 
  • Identify cross-departmental opportunities that driving unity and continuity amongst the core teams, including Inside Sales Support teams 
  • Manage the development and implementation of instructional materials (tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio and video content—including scripts, storyboards, navigational text, assessment tests, etc.) that transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction 
  • Conduct skills-gap analyses to identify areas of improvement by working closely with the Sales team to identify challenges they face on the job 
  • Measure, monitor and report on the impact of program implementations, training initiatives and the overall performance 
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend external training partners and manage their selection, performance, budgets and integration into existing learning roadmaps and systems 
  • Leverage insights from data and research to evaluate program effectiveness, driving improvements to procedures, services or offerings 
  • Oversee the communication of program results and impact to key stakeholders 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above 
  • 6–9+ years of combined experience in corporate learning/instructional design, talent management and/or HR business partnership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment  
  • Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes 
  • Ability to innovate and move quickly without constraints of previous processes 
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills at all leadership levels 
  • Strong prioritization, project management, organization skills and timely delivery  
  • Excellent team management and servant leadership skills with proven history of achieving ambitious outcomes 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven results influencing change leadership in an established culture

  • Salary: $150,000-$175,000 with an annual bonus of up to 20%
