Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking an Enterprise Architect to help ensure that the development and implementation of technology solutions aligns with business needs, follows best practices and utilizes modern and scalable designs. In this role, you will provide leadership in technology adoption and drive our architecture roadmap to ensure our systems and development practices are well documented and supportable. The position also requires supporting various IT workstreams by helping create roadmaps for legacy system migrations to the cloud, as well as overall application modernization. The ideal candidate has data integration experience within enterprise management systems, in addition to broad technology knowledge of major line-of-business applications, micro-services, cloud-based architectures and related platform vendors. A day in the office looks like this:
- Identifying business improvement opportunities, developing a clear end-state solution and creating a roadmap for achieving those goals
- Understanding and communicating business and solution requirements of current and future technology needs, working with stakeholders to develop an approach that fits the needs of the enterprise
- Facilitating business and technology agreements on architectural models and processes to meet business and technology requirements
- Collaborating with Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE and Project teams to ensure continuous delivery of business outcomes, as well as to identify when it is necessary to evolve the architecture
- Evaluating new tools, products, frameworks and technologies, and establishing processes to achieve consistent results
- Tracking and appling innovative technologies, establishing them in the business and operating model to assess their potential and using agile and lean approaches to evolve and manage innovation
- Documenting and publishing enterprise architecture standards and roadmaps, logical and conceptual architecture models depicting current and future state platform simplification opportunities and technology advancement
- Defining reference architectures and incorporating cloud adoption plans and cloud application design as well as cloud management and monitoring
- Defining and rationalizing the technology and security operations that support the application solutions/tools
- Building Minimal Viable Product (MVP) technology solutions to demonstrate future-state technology
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, designers and developers. Developing architecture documents/artifacts from templates working with extended IT and Business teams
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of relevant business and IT experience
- 3+ years in an architect role
- 3+ years of cloud architecture experience
- 3+ years of experience working with agile frameworks
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive the enterprise architecture roadmap and implementation partnering with both executives and engineers
- Excellent systems and data modeling experience
- Strong analytics and reporting experience
- Great understanding of the AWS solution stack, including AWS data lake architecture
- Experience with data governance and data integrations with in-house and third-party APIs (REST/gRPC)
- Skills in developing, communicating and applying strategic architecture direction
- Broad knowledge of industry technologies and trends and applying that knowledge to future-state architecture
- Knowledge of security technologies and methods for securing information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship-building skills

- Salary: 140,000-$170,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
