Job Description

We are looking for a Retail Marketing Coordinator to join our Acquisition Marketing team and report to our Retail Marketing Manager. In this role, you will support the Retail Marketing team by planning and executing various in-store retail events throughout the year to attract new customers and drive retail transactions/sales. This position requires impeccable project management skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a variety of projects and tasks. Successful candidates will have experience planning and executing events (specifically within the retail industry), finding creative solutions to problems and collaborating with key stakeholders. This Retail Marketing Coordinator role is based in Carson, CA. The Retail Marketing Coordinator will need to be on-site on a reoccurring basis. 

A day in the office looks like this: 

  • Serving as the day-to-day operational point of contact for all B2C retail marketing requests and projects, which includes planning and executing various retail events throughout the year 
  • Supporting the execution of creative assets for retail marketing projects by owning content requests, constructing creative briefs and attending/recapping project kickoffs and debriefs 
  • Working closely with other departments—such as the Creative, Visual and Retail teams—to develop and deploy retail marketing events 
  • Pulling data and content for presentations to various internal executive leaders and key stakeholders 
  • Managing the overarching B2C retail events calendar and ensuring projects are on track 
  • Assisting with on-site requests as needed, including pulling product from the warehouse, handling box and bag-stuffing responsibilities, etc. 
  • Communicating event deliverables, objectives, timelines and next steps through a variety of different platforms and systems including Workfront, Teams, Outlook, etc. 
  • Scheduling meetings on behalf of the Retail Marketing team, taking notes during meetings and sending out recap emails 
  • Supporting the Retail Marketing team with administrative tasks as needed (e.g., submitting jobs in Workfront, submitting analytics requests, etc.) 
  • Working alongside the Retail Marketing Manager as needed 
  • Injecting marketing best practices into every aspect of the job 

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree in related field preferred (Event Planning, Hospitality or Marketing) 
  • 1–3 years of retail marketing experience, with additional experience in event planning 
  • Extremely clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Positive, can-do problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, specifically designing executive-facing decks and slides 
  • Ability to be nimble and pivot in project direction and execution when needed
