Job Description

We are currently looking for a full-time Front End Web Developer who will be responsible for the UI/UX web page development and maintenance of our website. You will work closely with our Web and Marketing teams to build landing pages for e-mails, create marketing campaigns and complete strategic web projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of turning elaborate designs into lightweight and responsive pages—and will be a hands-on perfectionist who strives for pixel-perfect designs, appreciates the need for elegant code and is well versed in web usability and page standards.

A day in the office looks like this: 
• Assist in the creation of responsive web pages for a fast-paced Top 500 Internet Retailer website
• Perform various front end web development and client-side scripting techniques using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Partner with our UX team and back end engineers to develop a best-in-class user experience
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Perform multibrowser testing and compatibility QA
• Troubleshoot site display issues, including CSS and JavaScript errors

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
• 3+ years of experience hand-coding Responsive HTML, CSS and JavaScript (HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery preferred)
• Bootstrap Framework experience
• Experience with Knockout or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus
• Strong responsive web development experience is a plus
• Good understanding of REST and AJAX calls 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact closely with UX designers, back end developers, Marketing and QA teams
• Experience with content management systems (Endeca a plus) and code repositories (CVS/SVN/Git) 
• Exposure to e-commerce websites and JSP/Java web environments a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where tasks change on a daily/weekly basis
• Ability to work as a self-starter, both as part of a team and independently, with minimal supervision
