Job Description
Duration: 2 weeks (Winter Semester Break)
Labournet is offering an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Intern to gain practical, hands-on experience during our Winter Internship Programme. This short-term programme is designed to provide exposure to workplace health, safety, and compliance practices within a dynamic and professional environment. We are seeking six interns, with one position available at each of the following branch locations: Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, and Johannesburg.
Key Learning Areas
- Exposure to occupational health and safety processes and legislative requirements
- Assisting with risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits
- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of health and safety documentation
- Gaining insight into compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Observing and learning from experienced Health and Safety professionals
Qualifications
- Currently studying towards the final year of a Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Environmental Management, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
