What will your days be like at LGI Healthcare Solutions? 

Your day-to-day will consist of supporting our Product teams by writing, reviewing, and translating the technical documentation to support our client’s use of our software. This includes collaborating with the product team to understand the software development process and work within the release cycle to ensure the documentation is updated relative to the software improvements with each release.  

How will your contributions be showcased?

  • Gathering the information needed to produce user guides, online help, etc. 
  • Writing product documentation and capturing screenshots in both French and English.
  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greater reader comprehension. 
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed. 
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team. 
  • Reviewing and editing technical content written by the product teams.
  • Ensure the quality of texts intended for clients. 
  • Ensure accurate translation of documentation.
  • Participate in the linguistic quality control process of the product interface (menu options, zone labels, messages, etc.). 
  • Assist in the standardization of terminology used in LGI Healthcare Solutions products. 
  • Translate documentation and software interfaces from French to English and English to French as required. 
  • Respect and innovate on the methods, policies, and procedures in effect.

Qualifications

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

  • 10+ years of technical writing and translation experience. 
  • Experience documenting software products.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work remotely and in either the Montreal-area, Quebec City-area, or Kelowna-area offices.
  • Flexibility and autonomy.
  • Mastery of MS Office Suite. 
  • Experience working with structured content in a CCMS (Paligo an asset). 
  • Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and other HATs (important asset). 
  • Experience with translation software Trados and Passolo (asset). 
  • Experience with web documentation (asset).
  • This position must be bilingual as the candidate will be responsible for working with documentation in both French and English and communicating, orally and in writing, with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
