What will your days be like at LGI Healthcare Solutions? 

Reporting to the Director of Global Compensation, your mandate will be to manage the day-to-day payroll operations in Canada and the United States within the prescribed deadlines, in compliance with tax laws and company policies and procedures, while ensuring continuous quality control.

How will your contributions be showcased?

• Ensure the entire process of Canadian payroll (400 employees - several provinces);
• Manage the entire process of U.S. payroll (15 employees - several states);
• Submit remittances (RRSP/DPSP, 401(k), CSST, CNT, etc.);
• Validation of supplier invoices related to group insurance;
• Filing of year-end reporting within prescribed deadlines (validation of taxable benefits, issuance of statements, production of summaries, and other obligations);
• Support employees in payroll matters;
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legislation (Canada and U.S.);
• Participate in the improvement of payroll processes and procedures, as well as in the security of personal information;
• Participation in internal and external audits;
• Production of various reports on payroll data;
• Contribute to new payroll or HRIS initiatives or projects requiring payroll expertise.

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

• Payroll Compliance Specialist (PCS) certification or equivalent training;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role (full Canadian and/or US payroll processing, up to full year-end production processing);
• Knowledge of Nethris or other major payroll software;
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian and US payroll and legislation;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, which must be mastered at an advanced level;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Professional, meticulous and discreet;
• Ability to manage time;
• This position must be bilingual as the candidate will be responsible for working with documentation in both French and English and communicating, orally and in writing, with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
