Job Description

Lead and deliver Process Excellence initiatives through hands-on application of Continuous Improvement methodologies, driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for direct team members while partnering with stakeholders to embed continuous improvement as a sustainable way of working across the site.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential duties:

  • Lead and deliver Process Excellence projects, ensuring measurable and sustainable improvements in cost, quality, productivity, service, and operational performance.
  • Promote a safe workplace and 5S culture through audits, continuous improvement activities, and role-modelling best practices.
  • Analyze, map, and optimize business processes, including supporting the development and standardization of SOPs and work procedures.
  • Drive performance improvement through effective KPI management, visual management, and structured follow-up on performance gaps.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities using Lean methodologies, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Partner with Finance and key stakeholders to validate, track, and deliver realized business benefits and savings.
  • Maintain Process Excellence standards, methodologies, documentation, reporting, and project governance.
  • Collaborate with site and cross-functional teams to share best practices, align improvement approaches, and support cross-site initiatives.
  • Build continuous improvement capability by coaching employees and leaders, promoting frontline ownership, and embedding CI as a way of working.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, performance management, and work prioritization for direct team members.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and execute improvement priorities aligned with business objectives.
  • Perform other duties and participate in additional projects as assigned, including occasional travel.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within a technical, manufacturing, laboratory, supply chain, or operational environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience leading improvement projects and supporting change implementation.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events, process mapping workshops, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective relationships across functions and organizational levels.
  • Experience developing, monitoring, and interpreting KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional proficiency in German and English.
