Job Description
The Quoting Specialist is responsible for managing the preparation, coordination and submission of quotations and tender documents received from all channels, product sectors, and end-markets.
The role’s purpose includes meticulous and correct handling of controlled substance inquiries, following the existing guidelines when applying for import permits or export licenses, handling of products which fall under the “commodities control act”, close cooperation with authorities as well as our controlled substance team, and compliance team.
The required outcome is continuity of the highest-level service experience of incoming enquiries from customers ensuring response times are met in line with KPI guidelines agreed in Service Cloud. The role will be the intermediary between Demand Generation Roles and Demand Fulfilment Roles.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a sales environment.
- A background in chemistry or life sciences will be considered a significant advantage.
- Experience using a CRM system and supply chain process management tools.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, ORACLE, SAGE, etc.
- Excellent telephone manners and communication skills.
- Good organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Team player; supportive of colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong level of computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft suite is essential.
- Customer focused, both internally and externally.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to relate to all levels of the business.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, written and oral.
