Job Description
Role Overview
The Product Data Lead oversees day-to-day Product Data operations while providing hands-on expertise across distributor and referral Product Data activities. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of Product Data across ERP and PIM systems, supports key business initiatives, and drives continuous improvement across processes and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Data Operations
- Support and coordinate Product Data Associates, ensuring work is delivered in line with agreed priorities, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Triage and manage incoming Product Data requests, assigning work appropriately and ensuring timely resolution of high-priority items.
- Monitor workload distribution, ticket performance, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), reporting on operational performance and key metrics.
- Oversee and support training for Product Data Associates to ensure consistency, capability development, and process adherence.
Distributor & Commercial Product Data
- Execute distributor-related and e‑commerce referral Product Data activities, including the creation and distribution of accurate distributor product catalogues.
- Implement catalogue enhancements to improve usability, data quality, and alignment with distributor requirements.
- Support the Annual Price Review (APR) process by providing accurate and timely Product Data inputs for pricing files.
Data Quality, Process & Governance
- Maintain, review, and enhance Product Data SOPs to ensure consistent execution and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support automation initiatives.
- Participate in Product Data quality, governance, and system usage initiatives.
- Monitor and support reporting on Product Data KPIs, including distributor data accuracy and operational performance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Product Managers, IT, Operations, and Commercial teams to maintain data integrity and support business objectives.
- Provide pragmatic solutions to Product Data challenges, balancing technical constraints with operational and commercial requirements.
- Contribute to training materials and knowledge sharing to support continuous improvement across the Product Data function.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Product Data Management, with a strong understanding of ERP and PIM platforms.
- Proven ability to mentor and support team members while remaining hands-on with complex data activities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with experience managing large and complex datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL or Python is preferred.
- Experience with distributor data management, catalogue generation, or commercial Product Data processes is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing SOPs and driving process optimisation initiatives.
Additional Information
Pay range for this role is:
Minimum: CAD $60,000/ yearly
Maximum: CAD $65,000/ yearly
The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location.
