LGC is proud to be an ambitious and dynamic company. We seek a committed Receiving and Despatch Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the seamless movement of goods in our warehouse and uphold strict compliance with our ISO standards!

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Checking Inbound Stock

This role is responsible for accurately receiving and checking all inbound stock, ensuring that descriptions, quantities, lot numbers, and expiry dates are verified on arrival. It includes matching each delivery to its packing list, updating the Received and Dispatched schedule, and handing all relevant shipping documentation to the appropriate customer service representatives.

The position also requires promptly communicating any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the necessary teams, as well as completing item receipting within Pastel software.

Dispatching Customer Orders

  1. Prepare and check customer orders prior to dispatch (quantity, description, lot number, expiry date, product quality).
  2. Ensure orders are dispatched within required timelines.
  3. Pack customer orders, including COAs, SDSs, and invoices for courier dispatch.
  4. Match invoices against goods dispatched and ensure accurate packaging.
  5. Build waybills and arrange courier collections promptly.
  6. Complete packaging and dispatch of international orders on time.
  7. Update invoiced-not-collected schedule and inform CS team of delays.
  8. Monitor and track orders sent, update proof of delivery schedules daily, and provide PODs to finance and CS teams when required.
  9. Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols, including accurate lifting techniques and wearing required safety gear.
  10. Log Quality Incidents in a timely manner.
  11. Provide timely communication in deviations of processes and controls.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Matric Senior Certificate.
  • Certification in handling dangerous and hazardous goods.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in receiving and dispatch within a warehouse environment.
