Job Description

The Integrated Business Planning Manager is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, visibility, and overall health of the order book across the business. This role acts as a key link between Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood, prioritized, and delivered.

A critical element of the role is managing the timeliness of activities — balancing the urgency of daily order execution with longer-term, strategic planning to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations regarding order book management.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date view of customer orders, backlog, and fulfillment status.
  • Analyse trends in demand, supply, and inventory to identify risks, opportunities, and capacity constraints.
  • Manage and prioritise activities according to business needs — balancing urgent daily actions with medium- and long-term objectives.
  • Facilitate expedite requests, resolving bottlenecks to meet customer expectations.
  • Support value-stream management and continuous improvement initiatives related to order fulfillment.
  • Prepare and present clear reporting on order status, KPIs, and variances to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure alignment between order growth, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve order visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in order management, supply chain, or customer operations (manufacturing or distribution preferred).
  • Proven ability to balance urgent operational tasks with medium- and long-term planning.
  • Solid understanding of order fulfillment processes, value stream management, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities across functions and levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; ERP knowledge is essential.
  • At least a B2 level (Conversational) of German is an absolute must
