Axolabs specialises in a new class of drugs whose active ingredients are chemically derived from DNA or RNA. They are called oligonucleotide or nucleic acid therapeutics. We use our many years of expertise to help our clients make them a success. Some of these drugs have already been approved and are being used successfully against diseases that were previously untreatable in some cases. New drugs from this class are added every year.

Stellenbeschreibung
As Director of Project Management, you will oversee complex, high-quality, and time-critical projects within the Life Sciences sector. Guided by the Senior Director of Project Management, you will lead the development and expansion of the local Project Management team. Your role will involve actively shaping and refining project execution and strategy, while supporting teams in achieving strategic objectives efficiently.
Your key responsibilities include
- Developing and overseeing all project management activities for challenging, time-critical, and customer-specific projects
- Identifying, managing, and reporting on key project risks, and driving risk management objectives
- Maintaining, Monitoring and communicating variances in the integrated project budget in close collaboration with relevant departments and Finance
- Managing ongoing projects, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely invoicing in collaboration with Finance
- Ensure effective teamwork, address issues in a timely and proactive manner and supporting the project review process
- Strategically planning and collaborating with Team Leads and Business Development across all three Axolabs locations
Qualifikationen
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably Master degree/PhD and specialized training in project management such as ASQ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualification
- Proven ability to work with project management tools such as: Asana or MS Project, Instagantt and Salesforce as well as procurement systems such as Ariba, IFS, Filemaker, Chase System as well as MS Office
- Leadership and decision-making skills and experience supporting cross-functional teams, preferably in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- In-depth knowledge of the entire drug development process in pharmaceutical/biotech companies, preferably with CMO background
- Strong communication skills and ability to succinctly convey complex information to a broad audience in both formal (presentations, emails, documents) and informal situations
- High level of independent working, team spirit as well as passion and commitment to achieve success and motivate other people
- Very good command of written and spoken German and English and willingness to travel, including transatlantic trips
