Job Description

The Production Technician will support the manufacture of molecular biology products at the LGC-Middleton Site. The position will also directly manufacture additional product lines that meet customer and company standards and requirements.

To perform this job optimally, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily:

  • Prepare materials used in the manufacture of molecular biology products
  • Manufacture finished product that meets customer and company requirements
  • Process production documentation and record data following approved protocols and using good documentation practices
  • Supply to an effective, safe, and clean lab environment through various production support activities
  • Optimally communicate results to the LGC-Lucigen team
  • Collaborate with team members in providing products to meet the production plan and customer requirements
  • Diligently learn and follow the requirements of the site’s quality management system
  • Adhere to company safety policies, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Confirmed reliable work ethic, with the ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to effectively meet production needs
  • Must be highly accurate and diligent
  • Ability to gather and coordinate information
  • Strong dedication to quality and continuous improvement
  • Proven experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or manufacturing organization preferred
