Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager (Region), this role will focus on developing all three brands within LGC Assure in assigned region. The focus of the role is to acquire new business, lead generation, whilst collaborating with account management teams, marketing, and other stakeholders.

The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Manager Western Europe will be as follows:

  • Identify; Develop and convert new prospect opportunities – focusing on opportunities throughout the territory identified for the entire product portfolio of BRCGS, SF360 and INFORMED programs.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage prospects, existing accounts, opportunities, pipeline and forecast in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Deliver Growth – along with significant volume growth through the addition of new business accounts, to work alongside the relevant Account Manager(s) and Strategic Account Manager(s)to increase revenue with existing customers.
  • Liaise with all LGC Assure brands Technical and Professional Service teams to ensure successful transition to post-sales process.
  • Collaborate with marketing on inbound lead qualification to increase win/ hit rate.
  • KPI’s metrics and achieving Sales & Revenue Targets – Meet and exceed individual financial and non-financial targets.
  • Develop corporate knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscapes, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Provide regular up-dates through submission of timely and accurate reports, maintaining records on Salesforce CRM and other relevant company information systems and through regular engagements with line manager and commercial team members.
  • Industry Representation – Attend and represent the company at various industry events, client meetings etc.
  • Business Travel – Prepared to travel as required by the business.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in a sales or commercial role, ideally in software sales or digital / data driven sectors, certification/regulatory programs.
  • The ability to engage and close new business accounts from lead generation to prospective customers.
  • Technical and commercial client relationship management skills.
