Job Description

The preparation and testing of samples for chemistry proficiency testing (PT) schemes, ensuring that defined criteria and deadlines are met. Contribution to the development of new PT schemes and samples.

We are seeking a meticulous individual to join our team in the role of Chemist. The primary responsibilities include preparing and testing samples for chemistry proficiency testing (PT) schemes, ensuring adherence to defined criteria and deadlines. Additionally, contributing to the development of new PT schemes and samples is required. The role entails performing all tasks in accordance with company quality procedures, laboratory protocols, and work instructions, maintaining the highest professional standards. This includes the preparation of proficiency testing samples, operation of laboratory equipment, accurate record-keeping, and supplying to team and individual objectives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and working hard to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Have extensive experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience working in an analytical testing laboratory would be highly desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry, or an appropriate level of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Good organisational ability.
  • Methodical and precise approach
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to the team environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to the varying nature of projects and business needs.
  • Good self-motivation.
