Job Description

As a Biochemist specializing in Clinical and Forensic Proficiency Testing, you'll play a crucial role in our mission. Your responsibilities will include producing PT/EQA test samples, managing laboratory consumables, and coordinating development projects. Additionally, you'll contribute to team objectives, uphold health and safety protocols, and actively seek opportunities for improvement in laboratory efficiency and quality.

 

  • Produce PT/EQA test samples and conduct quality control assessments.
  • Manage stock and procurement of laboratory consumables.
  • Prioritize tasks according to production and reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
  • Participate in development projects and coordinate related activities.
  • Contribute to team and individual objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory and company health and safety procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement in laboratory efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Perform additional duties as directed, commensurate with the role.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry, biochemistry, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of working in a laboratory environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a methodical and precise approach.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Previous experience working with biological fluids is advantageous.
