Join our friendly and fast-paced Science Support Team as a Laboratory Technician, where your attention to detail and teamwork will help power scientific discovery and protect the integrity of global sport and health.
Everything we do is driven by one purpose: Science for a Safer World. As part of our Sports & Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS) division, you’ll be joining an internationally recognised laboratory at the forefront of anti-doping and banned substance testing. Our work spans animal sports medication, human drug testing and dietary supplement certification.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Support the work of operational teams by ensuring Laboratory Support Service is completed to a high standard. Work positively and proactively within a team of technicians to ensure laboratory support work is performed in a timely manner.
- Laboratory glass washing, collection and redistribution
- Pipette management including collection, performance checks and return
- Stock checks and ordering of supplies
- Reagent preparation
- Equipment maintenance
- Record keeping and administrative duties
- Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 17025)
- Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-equipped work area, observing operational regulations
Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:
- Effective time management, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
- An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail

Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level, with 5 GCSEs graded A-C (or 9-4)
- Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is advantageous
- Sound computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
