Payroll Trainee (Full-time annual contract)

Job Description

  • Executes the delivery of payroll services as defined in corresponding guidelines
  • Ensures correct implementation of company pension schemes, deferred compensation, etc. in the payroll
  • Compiles employer statements and other legally required documents
  • Deploys given salary increases in the system
  • Conducts monthly PY run, including related follow up activities - Key User Activities
  • Checks correctness of the payroll data and ensures the compliance of the salary calculation with the defined pay policies and applicable legal, tax and social security regulations
  • Provides correct payment files and transfer posting to finance - accounting
  • Acts as contact person regarding payroll concerns for relevant external, e.g. tax authorities, pension fund, health insurance, unemployment agency and internal, e.g. accounting, tax, C&B, HR business partners, managers, employees, stakeholders
  • Prepares standard and ad-hoc reports and statistics for internal and external use including participation in global -Mercer- and local salary surveys
  • Implements and drives LEONI HR standard processes, guideline and standards and customize them to tax or legal requirements in country in alignment with global HR to ensure standardization in the country

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Years of Experience: +1 year of experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Personnel, or HR Operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Language: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with strong professional communication and reporting skills.
  • Excel Skills: Excellent command of MS Excel (advanced formulas, PivotTables, data analysis, reconciliation, and payroll tracking tools are mandatory).
  • Systems: Experience with SAP or other HRIS/Payroll systems is highly preferred (Nice-to-have).
  • Payroll Knowledge: Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, including salary calculations, overtime, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and employee changes.
  • Attendance Management: Strong understanding of attendance systems, working hours, overtime, leave, and their impact on payroll calculations..
  • Confidentiality: High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential employee and salary information.
