Job Description

Join LEONI’s plant leadership team and take full responsibility for Quality Management & HSEE (Health, Safety, Environment & Energy) within a modern automotive production environment.
As Head of QM & HSEE, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance and safe operations while supporting the development of automated production systems (data cables, components).
You will lead strategic and operational initiatives, drive continuous improvement and act as a strong partner to plant management and global functions.

Your tasks:

What will be your responsibilities?         

  • Lead and develop the Quality Management & HSEE organization at plant level in line with defined objectives and KPIs
  • Hold functional accountability on country level for quality, health & safety, environment and energy topics
  • Ensure full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and all customer-specific and legal requirements
  • Define, implement and continuously improve standards, governance and processes in QM & HSEE
  • Design and lead strategic and operational initiatives to improve product quality, process stability and safety performance
  • Manage and steer budgets, cost targets and resource planning within the area of responsibility
  • Lead, coach and develop multiple teams, driving performance, succession planning and organizational development
  • Take ownership of audit management (internal, external, customer audits) and ensure successful audit results
  • Decide on production stop or shipment blocking in case of quality or compliance risks
  • Drive quality and safety culture, including implementation of LEONI values and continuous improvement mindset
  • Support and develop automated production processes (data cables, components) with focus on quality, reliability and efficiency
  • Act as key interface to customers, authorities and internal stakeholders for all QM & HSEE topics

Qualifications

What do we expect from you?

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of experience with Quality Management and HSEE within the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Proven leadership experience in a plant or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA standards, PSCR – Product Safety & Conformity Representative)
  • Experience with environmental and safety management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Strong understanding of automated production technologies (ideally data cables / electronics / components)
  • Experience with audit management and customer interaction
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Fluent English (min. B2); German is an advantage

Basic gross guaranteed salary: from 3500 EUR/Brutto + 13th salary The final basic wage component will be adjusted to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
