Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Process semi-monthly payroll for non-exempt and exempt employees.
· Review and balance payrolls before and after they have been processed. Validate confirmed reports.
· Review and process time and attendance. Consult with department managers about discrepancies in time cards and verify overtime.  
· Prepare, assist and respond to various audit and tax agency queries and requests as well as managers within the company.
· Complete payroll filing as necessary.
· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transaction will be processed accurately and timely.
· Run reports from time & attendance system and import into payroll system.
· Post payroll from payroll system into accounting system.
· Responsible for processing wage garnishments, liens, in accordance with federal and state laws.
· Research, analyze and resolve payroll related problems or questions.
· Help with interviewing, hiring and onboarding, terminations and other human resource related duties with the help of a 3rd party company.
· Maintain employee files
· Process employee data (new hires, direct deposits, pay changes, employee changes).
· Provide advice to management on daily employee performance issues
· Handle investigations and resolutions of employee issues and concerns
· Maintain employees’ confidence by keeping information confidential.
· Keep informed of regulations, interpretations and practices pertaining to the payroll and employment practices.
· Follow policies and procedures set forth by the company and in compliance with Federal and State regulations and laws.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years bookkeeping and payroll experience.
  • Human Resource and Payroll experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and excellent time management
  • Must have excellent communication and organization skills
