Job Description
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the verification and maintenance of documentation for all outbound shipments as well as prepares items for shipment by performing duties that adhere to all quality and productivity standards. This position is also responsible for various warehousing tasks and moving finished products to the Laminates Plant.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Intermediate computer knowledge including basic KSoft for utilization in tracking product warehouse movement, receipt of material, item location and shipment of products, and track, control and verify levels of FGI.
- Ability to verify and document all received and outgoing material in a timely manner
- Ability to utilize scan guns or computer systems accurately to facilitate material movement
- Ability to operate multiple sizes of fork trucks depending on job
- Ability to perform all tasks associated with maintaining a clean and safe plant and warehouse
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers at all levels regarding daily production; utilize radio and appropriately communicate when needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to understand the interconnectivity of the shipping/receiving area as it relates to the plants ability to create finished goods inventory
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems during day-to-day operations. Understand escalation process and react accordingly and in a timely fashion
