KM Property Funds with $500m in funds under management and a portfolio spread across Australia, is a growing business and are looking for a Property Fund Accountant to join our finance team based in Melbourne CBD. With a wide range of responsibilities this diverse and exciting role could be your next opportunity.
About the role:
As a Property Fund Accountant at KM Property Funds, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a growing property investment portfolio. Working within a small, dynamic team, you will provide comprehensive accounting and financial reporting services across multiple property funds.

What will you be doing?
- Accounting and financial reporting support for a portfolio of property funds
- Investor distribution payment administration and liaise with external registry
- Modelling, forecasting, scenario and cashflow planning
- Maintaining investment and tax registers and documentation
- Treasury administration including KYC/ AML/ CTF and debt compliance
- Accounting policy and procedure update and compliance sign off and reconciliations
- Assisting the team with reporting, research and analysis as required
About you:
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar
- Be CAANZ or CPA qualified
- Advanced Excel and modelling skills
- Real estate and Fund accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and application
- Management reporting and analysis skills
- Good knowledge of tax compliance requirements in Australia
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics FinOps and Financial Reporter and MYOB
- Experience with Argus and Estate Master or similar financial modelling programs looked upon favourably
- Work well with stakeholders, management, banks, external service providers, custodian, registry, auditors and tax accountants
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and growing workplace
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Flexibility to work on projects and manage workload to external and internal deadlines
