Academic /Lecturer– Human Resource Management (JB3529)
Durban
Market Related/ Negotiable/ Competitive

Seeking an accomplished individual to provide academic leadership, strategic insights, and overall Programme Quality Management across a range of Undergraduate/Postgraduate education programmes in the field of Human Resource Management.

Qualifications:
Hold an appropriate doctoral level qualification or specialist Master's level qualification in Human Resource Management or related fields, including Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Development, and Labour Relations.
South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) professional registration (advantageous).
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years' academic experience.
Demonstrated engagement in research over the past 3 years.
Familiarity with distance and online education methodologies.
Proficiency in using learning management systems.
Advantages:
Specialist in Human Resource Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as a Module Coordinator for your area of specialization.
Facilitate both face-to-face and online lectures.
Develop, review, and moderate curriculum and assessments.
Provide academic consultation support to students.
Grade assessments and offer constructive stakeholder feedback.
Conduct programme and module reviews for continuous improvement.
Actively engage in research and contribute to publications.
Supervise postgraduate research initiatives.
Identify and support at-risk students through pastoral care.
Manage programme and quality management administrative tasks.
Core Functions Include:
Participate in various Academic Committees.
Review and verify Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications.
Review and verify Credit Accumulation Transfer applications.
Sound understanding of the South African higher education regulatory framework.
Ability to work within pre-determined timeframes and meet deadlines.
General:
Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and support staff.
