Medical Receptionist ( MKT192)

Melrose, Sandton

R8000 – R12000 per month

 

Position available within Melrose North for a Medical Receptionist with previous experience in a similar role.  This medical practice deals mainly with older adults and are looking for a friendly, positive, patient person to join their existing team.  Excellent English verbal skills required with very professional demeanor.

 

Key skills needed:

High level computer and internet skills.

Attention to detail

Good communication (fluent in English) with patients and colleagues

Efficient and polite telephone abilities

Honesty and integrity are very important

Candidates need to be able to work in a busy practice, managing a variety of tasks and responsibilities.

Be able to work independently.

Be self-motivated.

Meet deadlines and report to supervisors

Good communication skills- be able to listen carefully to the needs of our patients/team and provide accurate solutions

 

Duties:

Opening the medial practice in the morning, and seeing that all is in order before the patients arrive

Meeting and greeting of patients as they arrive, get them comfortable and ready for their treatment.

Making patient bookings and general diary management for 5 Biokineticist

Screening telephone calls and taking messages

Efficient email communication with patients and Biokineticist

Managing daily account reconciliation accurately - EFT’s/Credit card/Cash

Accurate billing and receipting of patients on a daily basis.

Assistance with medical aid claims and reconciliation

Managing patients’ accounts and collecting debt

Practice paper work, filing and patient file management

Managing and ordering stock, groceries, stationery and office supplies

Understanding what a Biokineticist does and be able to explain our services well to

prospective patients

Overseeing the domestic worker’s duty list is completed

General practice organisation and cleanliness

Overseeing machinery maintenance
