Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of internal and external projects across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Team Leads, Project Leads and Portfolio Leads to coordinate and streamline top-notch delivery of projects across different departments, teams and functions. You should be comfortable managing complexity and multiple moving parts under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for all internal and external initiatives.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Coordinate resources, assign tasks, and track deliverables to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Propose and Implement project management processes and templates to standardise delivery.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, maintaining clear and proactive communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and dashboards to the Head of Operations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and partners, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Collaborate with the finance team to track expenditures and forecast budgetary needs.
- Optimize resource allocation across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Process Improvement and Quality Assurance
- Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, policies, and best practices in project execution.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and implement improvements in future projects.
- Team Leadership and Coordination
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Resolve conflicts and address challenges within project teams to maintain a productive working environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A relevant advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE 2, are desirable.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects across various sectors and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools, software, processes and principles. (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project, or similar).
