Job Description
As the Director of Accounting at Koneksa, you will be responsible for establishing the company’s accounting, historical financial reporting, and control policies and ensuring compliance with said policies. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across all departments to ensure they have the financial information needed to make optimal business decisions. As a key member of our finance team, you have a passion for process improvement and building structure in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance.
Responsibilities:
Managing the monthly close process and preparing all financial reporting required by management and investors (monthly, YTD, annual FS statements)
Creating a set of monthly financials reports that include P&L, BS, Cash Flow and cash inflow/outflow detail reporting
Developing and implementing value add suggestions to create a more efficient close
Creating review processes to ensure key stakeholders are signed off on close schedules
Developing a flux analysis report and providing key insight into historical movements
Managing the treasury process and compiling bi-weekly + monthly cash reports with insight on key expenditures
Leading the payroll, AP and AR processes and developing value add suggestions to create a more efficient and scalable process
Leading the revenue process and managing our revenue schedules to ensure compliance with Revenue 606. This includes: revenue, deferred revenue, billed/unbilled AR, collections
Leading our annual audit process with third party audit firm
Managing outside advisors such as tax, audit, insurance, payroll
Ensuring the company’s policies and procedures comply with US GAAP
Developing and implementing key controls to proactively manage risk
Implementing new processes and software to help the company scale efficiently
Assisting with the budget and forecasting process
Qualifications
You have 8+ years of relevant experience, including experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and at a fast-growing startup (SAAS knowledge preferred)
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
CPA required
You have a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
You have experience at companies with complex revenue models and cost structures
You have strong project management skills
You are organized, detail-oriented, and focused on getting things done
You are proactive and take initiative to make changes that align with key company goals
