Job Description

We are seeking to hire an Account Director with 5+ years of relevant experience to support our sales activities. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Software-as-a-Service solutions within life sciences, with a focus on solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies related to clinical trials and programs including exposure to digital biomarker and/or connected device solutions. 

This role reports into the VP, Sales and the preferred candidate will be based on the East Coast. The Account Director role will normally include significant travel commitments, including working from Koneksa New York offices, as needed. 

The selected Account Director must have a demonstrable ability to grow revenue and foster relationships with top tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to sales closure, including capabilities and proposal presentations.

  • Develop account plan for assigned territory/accounts and report on plan progress throughout the plan year.

  • Entry and maintenance of accurate and timely data in Koneksa’s Customer Relationship Management system related to customers, contacts, sales activities, pipeline progression and contracts.

  • Represent Koneksa at industry-related conferences and trade shows.·      

  • Work with our Commercial Operations, Customer and Data Science teams to respond to RFI’s and RFP’s within assigned accounts.

  • Build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and business teams within assigned accounts to facilitate repeat Koneksa business.

  • Manage, coordinate and facilitate on-going meetings within assigned accounts.

  • Leverage internal expertise for guidance and thought leadership as needed

  • Meet and exceed sales quotas on a consistent basis

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills / Background: 

  • At least 5+ Years’ experience in a direct sales role in the life sciences industry, related to clinical trial solutions, selling complex technology and services.

  • Proven track record of consistent sales quota attainment based on a versatile solution portfolio.

  • Ability to produce an effective territory/account plan and execute the plan to achieve assigned sales targets through Customer Management Relationship systems (CRM).

  • Ability to build and manage a sales funnel and pipeline to accurately forecast projected sales achievement.

  • Strong planning and organization skills, able to plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to demonstrate an engaging, empathetic communication style based on quickly building rapport and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this job.

  • Motivation to work collaboratively in a fast paced and results oriented work environment.

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
